New Year's news

Greetings from Lahti,

Salpaus Nature island is about to be ready and two parcels have been deeded to our two pilot groups. That will give them an unique opportunity to trade in Second Life or use Second Life as a wonderful marketing tool for the activities they intend to launch.

Paijat-Hame Edu Island
It is our wish to attract more official bodies on our island and thus be able to give the same services than a citizen would get in RL.
Our next task in the frame of our project is also to find more companies and "lend" them some spaces so that they also can market their products using this medium.

Second Study
The work group has done an incredible work. 11 pilot groups have started (or will start) studying using web 2.0 tools.
Few reports have been written about it and follow up has been made.
Briefly said, the results encourage us to pursue on that road and propose more and more curriculum using social media tools.

The steering committee gathered last week in Lahti. I am led to believe that the committee members were satisfied by the work done.

Full steam forward,
Jorgito Arado
