More space in the Metaverse

Dear readers,

Our new island Salpaus Nature was delivered this week. We will open the island in a very next future.
The island will remind Finnish nature.
Our students specialise in tourism and will have space to develop and carry out activities they have planned under the supervision of their teachers.

Jorgito Arado gave a presentation about Entrepreneurship together with Olavi Virtanen, one of our teachers involved in the project. The presentation was held in the premises of Omnia Further Education.
This presentation has been recorded and can be found at: http://connect.humac.fi/p77909073/
Unfortunately, the "live" presentation in Second Life and on our island was not recorded. The approach to Second Life in the frame of HyväYritys project raised interest among the participants and possible co-operation with representants of other institutions has been discussed.

HyväYritys project was also on display at National Virtual Days Fair Nov 25, 26th.

Positive synergy in the Metaverse

Friendly greetings from the Metaverse and Paijat-Hame Edu Island

Paijat-Hame Edu Island administrators have recently received many requests of co-operation. This is wonderful and shows an increasing interest for Second Life and the virtual worlds in general. This concept and new approach to services and people is of great interest also for many
institutions and government bodies.

Eures joined us in October. They have now their own stand on Paijat-Hame Edu Island.
We can find them easily by cliking this SLURL link. (Remember you must have Second Life viewer installed and updated for the link to work).
Two other important institutions with significant impact on working life will soon be with us also on our island.

Under the enthusiasm of our Salpaus students in creating services for their Junior company involved in Tourism , we have decided to purchase an OpenSpace Island which will be linked to Paijat-Hame Edu Island on its west side. The purpose of this is to give room to our students to achieve and carry out their business idea in Second Life. This OpenSpace is 65000 sq meter large and allows 3750 prims on it.
We will build on that new island forests, lakes etc. which will give a taste of Finnish Nature to visitors.

More news to come,

peace
Jorgito
